Martin Garrix Crowned World’s No.1 DJ at AMF 2024

Martin Garrix secured his fifth win at DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Awards, taking the title of World’s No.1 DJ on the AMF stage, produced by Insomniac Europe.

Amsterdam, Netherlands (October 20, 2024) — Tonight, in front of 40,000 enthusiastic fans, Martin Garrix claimed the title of World’s No.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll for 2024. This marks Garrix’s fifth time at the top, placing him alongside fellow Dutch DJ, Armin van Buuren, for the highest number of No.1 wins.

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Awards, known for spotlighting the brightest stars in the global DJ scene, delivered its biggest moment on the iconic AMF stage at midnight. The crowning followed electrifying performances by Monocule, Tita Lau, Wade, and Marlon Hoffstadt. DJ Mag’s global live show, which streamed performances from DJs across the globe, transitioned to the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, where Armin van Buuren personally presented the award to Garrix.

After receiving the honor, Garrix took the stage for a special performance, celebrating his victory before launching into his headlining set. The crowd, who have closely followed his career, erupted in excitement as they witnessed this historic moment. Fun Radio and Radio 538, where Armin also hosts his own show, broadcasted the event, sharing the news with fans worldwide.

Garrix then passed the spotlight to Tiësto, another AMF headliner. Timmy Trumpet, Maddix, and Showtek (Hardstyle Exclusive) are also slated to perform, rounding out the night with AMF’s signature energy and music, making it the ultimate party of ADE week.

At just 28, Garrix has been voted World’s No.1 DJ five times over the past nine years, a feat unmatched by any DJ under 30. Reflecting on the achievement, Garrix said, “I’m on the list with all my idols… it’s very special we’re back at the No.1 spot.”

In 2024, Garrix's headlining season at Ushuaïa Ibiza and festival performances worldwide, including a notable presence at Glastonbury, helped him rise back to the top spot.
