Lauren Bennett, the Voice Behind LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem', Dies at 37

Lauren Bennett, the British singer whose voice carried the hook of LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem', has died at the age of 37. She passed on 7 July 2026. A cause of death has not been disclosed.

Born in Meopham, England on 24 June 1989, Bennett's vocal is one of the most widely heard in modern dance-pop. 'Party Rock Anthem' topped charts in more than a dozen countries and has since passed a billion streams on Spotify — a record that defined a whole era of crossover EDM, and one she is inseparable from.

Beyond the hook

Bennett was a founding member of Paradiso Girls, whose 2009 debut reached No. 3 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. She later joined G.R.L., Robin Antin's dance-pop project, alongside Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen, touring internationally before the group paused in 2014.

That hiatus followed the death of bandmate Simone Battle. In the years after, Bennett spoke openly about mental health, using her platform to talk about something the pop industry rarely discussed at the time.

"Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us," her G.R.L. bandmates said. "We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us."

She is survived by her six-year-old daughter, Harlow.
