ANOTR, the Amsterdam duo of Jesse and Oz, have released 'Out of My Head', a club-focused single out now on their own No Art label. It is their first club single since their third studio album, 'Withness'.
The track is built on a disco-funk guitar lick, layered vocals and a soulful house groove inspired by early 2000s house. A nine-piece ensemble of violinists and cellists recorded live strings for it, and the result is faster and more intense than their recent work while keeping the warmth of their sound.
Written on Retreat
The duo wrote the record during their first official songwriting retreat at a new studio house in the Dutch countryside, after earlier retreats in rented spaces in the Netherlands, New York and Ibiza.
It arrives on the back of a big year. Their previous single 'Talk To You' with 54 Ultra passed 250 million streams, reached No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart and was named in Spotify's "Sound of the Summer 2026" list. ANOTR also sold out two nights at London's Alexandra Palace in September and launched the first No Art Festival in Amsterdam.
