Aphex Twin's 'Drukqs' is finally getting the reissue treatment. Warp Records will re-release the 2001 album for its 25th anniversary on 30 October 2026 — its first-ever re-press.
The reissue comes in three configurations: a 4xLP edition (with a six-panel poster and an AFX logo stencil), a 2xCD set (with an eight-page booklet), and a double-cassette. Pre-orders are open through 4 August 2026.
From divisive to cult classic
'Drukqs' has one of the great origin stories in electronic music. Richard D. James described the 30-track sprawl as a "ragbag of stuff he'd been working on since 1997," and it reportedly arrived in a hurry partly because he left an MP3 player full of unreleased material on a plane.
Divisive on release, it has aged into one of his most quietly influential works. Tracks like 'QKThr' have found entirely new audiences through TikTok, cementing its cult status with a younger generation who came to it decades after the fact.
The reissue continues Warp's run of Aphex Twin retrospectives and expanded editions — a reminder of how deep the catalogue still runs.
