Carl Cox & David Guetta Play Their First-Ever B2B at UNVRS Ibiza

Two of dance music's biggest names finally shared a booth. Carl Cox and David Guetta played their first-ever back-to-back at UNVRS Ibiza on 29 July 2026 — after three decades of crossing paths without ever actually mixing together.
"We've known each other for a very long time, shared plenty of lineups… but never shared the booth," Cox wrote afterwards. The set blended house, techno and melodic techno, the two veterans reading the room and trading seamlessly — the kind of pairing that only works when both players have nothing left to prove.
A long time coming
The moment took over dance music timelines almost instantly, with fans and fellow DJs marking it as one of those overdue milestones the scene rarely gets. Cox, mid-set, turned to Guetta with the warmth of an old friend: "Oh yes oh yes, David Guetta, oh my god! Thank you so much, it's been absolute pleasure, what a perfect present from David."
It went down during UNVRS's inaugural summer season at the former Privilege site — a headline moment for Ibiza's newest superclub, even as the venue has had a rockier week elsewhere.
