Palms Trax Shares First New Single in Five Years, 'Soft Trance, Hard Gossip'

Palms Trax has broken a five-year solo silence. The producer's new single 'Soft Trance, Hard Gossip' is out 23 July 2026 on fabric Records.
It is a club record through and through — melodic synth hooks, heavy bass and intensifying percussion layered with the kind of fine production detail his fans have missed. Landing it on fabric is fitting: "I always loved the fabric mix series coming of age and admire any institution that survives a monster stint in clubland," he said.
An EP to follow
The single is the lead from a double-A-side EP, 'Keys To A Painted Garden', arriving 22 August 2026. The title track heads somewhere very different from the single — deeper, jazz-influenced broken beats and IDM textures — suggesting the return is about range, not just a one-off.
Never really gone
While he stepped back from solo output, Palms Trax kept his Cooking With Palms Trax label running with releases from other producers, and stayed on the circuit. He has festival dates lined up at Dekmantel, We Out Here and more across the summer.
