David Guetta & ARTBAT Drop Long-Awaited Gotye 'Somebody That I Used To Know' Remix

One of the summer's most-played festival IDs is finally out. David Guetta and ARTBAT have released their remix of Gotye's 2011 classic 'Somebody That I Used To Know' (feat. Kimbra), officially dropping 6 September 2026.
The rework turns the fragile, xylophone-led original into a full melodic-techno anthem — keeping Gotye and Kimbra's vocals front and centre while wrapping them in driving basslines, orchestral strings and euphoric builds. It's the kind of before-and-after that only works when the source song is this recognisable.
"We've been playing this one around the world for months now," Guetta said, "and watching you all scream every word has been insane."
For Ukrainian duo ARTBAT it's another crossover milestone; for Guetta, it continues a genre-hopping run that this year alone has taken in the Tomorrowland anthem 'Human' and a first-ever B2B with Carl Cox at UNVRS.
