Seven years after they announced their split, Noisia are back. The Dutch drum & bass trio — Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger — are reuniting, with their first performance since their farewell set to take place at Amsterdam's Melkweg on 4 December 2026.
The venue choice is deliberate: Melkweg hosted the final Noisia Invites event during their farewell period, making it a fitting place to restart. More dates are promised.
Reuniting on new terms
The three spent their years apart on distinct solo paths — Roos on Sleepnet and Ring Noord, de Vlieger expanding his Thys project into film and dance, van Sonderen continuing as Zonderling and NSR. The reunion is framed as a creative itch rather than a nostalgia cash-in: instead of finished tracks, they're bringing "new ideas and works-in-progress" to test live first.
"What do I want to do? Something I can't do on my own," van Sonderen said, describing the pull of "letting my own ideas loose on it" again. For a trio whose production was among the most influential in modern bass music, a return on those terms is a genuinely exciting prospect.
It caps a strong stretch for drum & bass on the site — from Goldie's 'Jungle Daze' comeback to the loss of North Quarter founder Lenzman earlier this year.
