Martin Garrix and U2 Unveil Cinematic Music Video for 'Fireflies'

Martin Garrix and U2 have shared the cinematic music video for their collaboration 'Fireflies', released 23 August 2026 via Darkroom Records.
The video is pure atmosphere: a midnight forest, fireflies swirling around Garrix before revealing Bono's silhouette in the dark. It's the visual complement to a track that pairs U2's unmistakable rock DNA and Bono's vocal with Garrix's electronic production — a genuinely unusual meeting of worlds.
A partnership, not a one-off
This isn't the first time the two camps have worked together. Garrix previously produced 'Scars' for U2's EP Easter Lily, and 'Fireflies' first premiered on the Tomorrowland 2026 Mainstage in July before its official summer release.
It continues a stacked run of high-profile collaborations for Garrix, who this year also worked with Madonna on 'Bizarre' and Ed Sheeran on 'Repeat It' — cementing his position as dance music's go-to name for crossover pop and rock team-ups.
