FISHER ended his Tomorrowland 2026 Mainstage set on a note nobody in Boom expected from him: Avicii's 'Levels'.
The Australian played the Mainstage on Saturday 19 July — his fifth appearance on Tomorrowland's biggest stage — and rather than close on one of his own tech-house anthems, he reached for one of the most recognisable records in dance music history. Clips of the closing moments spread fast across social media almost immediately.
The Avicii thread running through Boom
The choice did not come out of nowhere. Tomorrowland 2026 is running a dedicated Avicii tribute experience honouring the late Swedish producer, and 'Levels' has become a recurring emotional peak across the festival's stages this year.
It was not the only Swedish moment of the weekend either — Sebastian Ingrosso brought out Steve Angello for a Swedish House Mafia reunion on the same Mainstage, debuting their new Lykke Li collaboration live.
For a DJ known for keeping things loose and party-first, ending on 'Levels' was a reminder of how much of Tomorrowland's emotional centre still runs through Avicii's catalogue. Weekend 1 also delivered Charlotte de Witte's surprise psy-tinged Mainstage set and the reveal that Las Vegas joins Tomorrowland in 2027.
