Sebastian Ingrosso Brings Out Steve Angello for Swedish House Mafia Reunion at Tomorrowland

Two thirds of Swedish House Mafia ended up on the Tomorrowland 2026 Mainstage together — and it was not on the timetable.
Sebastian Ingrosso used his Weekend 1 Mainstage slot on Friday 17 July to run what amounted to a full Swedish House Mafia heritage set, working through the trio's catalogue from the early records to the recent material. The set leaned on mashups and edits, pulling in their collaborations with Tinie Tempah, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams and John Martin alongside house classics.
Then Angello walked out
The moment everyone is sharing came at the end, when Steve Angello appeared on stage unannounced. Together the pair aired 'Happiness Is So Sad', the brand new Swedish House Mafia single featuring Lykke Li, with production credits including Max Martin and Oscar Holter.
The track had its world premiere only weeks earlier, when the trio opened their Ushuaïa Ibiza residency on 30 June. This was its first proper festival airing.
Angello did it again at Crystal Garden
Angello then ran his own SHM-heavy set at Tomorrowland's Crystal Garden, working through 'Miami 2 Ibiza', 'Leave The World Behind' and 'Don't You Worry Child' across a 40-plus track selection of SIZE cuts, Prydz records and deep house edits — with Ingrosso returning the favour and joining him for another live airing of 'Happiness Is So Sad'.
The Avengers thing
Ingrosso has taken to describing the group as a "Swedish Avengers crew" — three artists who tour and release independently but keep reassembling. On current evidence that is exactly how it works: the trio launched World Cup merch earlier this month and turned their Ushuaïa Sunday into a World Cup final screening on 19 July.
Weekend 1 in Boom also delivered Charlotte de Witte's surprise psy-tinged Mainstage set, a full fireworks ban and the Las Vegas 2027 reveal.
